I love the drawn-out glistening synths of Isi and the throbbing welts of The Money Store, that ringing twang from In The Street and the perfect pads of When Love Breaks Down. Since getting a car, I've tended to judge music on the term: Does it sound great when driving? So I already have great memories of listening to Games People Play, Musik Von Harmonia, Off The Wall, Born In The USA and Untrue.
There are few pleasures like walking through a sprawling Chinese city for hours, picking up hot dry noodles and lychee beer on your rounds, just soaking up the heat and the sights and smells, following girls with arses like a two steamed buns jiggling in a thin plastic bag and cruising round computer city for some pirated Wii games, all soundtracked by SebastiAn and On The Corner, Brother Sport and My Girls early boots, Feels and Bro's before home for a big wank and an all-nighter of street food, rice wine shots and some SF4 round robin. I used to judge music on the term: Does it sound great on IEMs walking around and being on public transport? Some of my favourite musical memories were spent under those circumstances.
